Stunning Polished Malachite Heart from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Measures approximately 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" and weighs approximately 0.8 ounces.

Malachite
Malachite has natural occurring crevices because it forms with cracks and gaps due to its botryoidal (grape-like) and fibrous structure, which is a common and normal characteristic of the stone. It also displays distinctive banded, concentric, or swirling patterns, making each piece unique.
